I knew Alexandra Grecco's Laurel dress was my dream wedding gown the minute I tried it on. I was looking for a dress with a timeless and sleek silhouette and was originally looking at dresses with minimal or no embellishment. But all of the dresses I was trying on felt not quite special enough for my big moment walking down the aisle - until Laurel!
This dress is the perfect combination of simple and detailed, with its minimalist front and hints of sparkle in the hand-detailed back and train. The back and train looked AMAZING in pictures and I got so many compliments about the back detailing.
The Laurel dress comes with a front slit, but I decided to have them make the dress without the slit and I definitely think that was the decision for me, but a tailor could easily add a slit if desired. The dress is fitted but the fabric is light and silky soft so I also found it to be quite comfortable. Note that due to the material and fitted style undergarments are challenging in this dress - I decided to wear nothing under the dress to avoid any visible panty lines. Truly could not have been happier with this dress!
The dress is in basically new condition! I wore it for my ceremony and the beginning of the reception but changed into a second look for dancing so it didn't get a ton of wear. After getting it professionally cleaned after my wedding it looks brand new. I inspected the beading and did not find any beads missing, and there are no stains or color damage.
Alteration details: - Hemmed to be floor length for me. I'm 5'6" and wore 3" heels - shoulder straps tightened - Dress taken in a little bit around the hips to be more fitted
